The crypto market is on the rise: bitcoin is storming $77,000, and stablecoins are changing the world
While most market participants were resting, digital assets demonstrated a confident upward trend. Bitcoin (BTC) momentarily reached the $77,800 mark, and at the time of data recording was trading near $77,050. Over the day, the gain amounted to 1.10%, but the weekly dynamics are far more impressive — plus 21.41%. Ether (ETH) is also keeping pace: the price rose to $2,447, adding 2.90% over the day and 28.87% over the week. During overnight trading, the ETH fluctuation range was $2,360–$2,480.
Altcoins from the top-25 are mostly in the green. The leaders of daily growth were Zcash (ZEC) with a gain of 6.51%, Sui (SUI) — 4.56%, and Hedera (HBAR) — 4.41%. At the same time, certain assets corrected: Monero (XMR) lost 3.03%, and UNUS SED LEO (LEO) — 1.85%.
A phenomenal week for Ethena and ETF inflows
Among the top-100 assets by market capitalization, Ethena (ENA) became a true revelation, surging by 99.54% over seven days. Stacks (STX) also showed impressive dynamics with a gain of 93.91%, and Official Trump (TRUMP), which added 76.33%. The outsider of the week was JUST (JST), which fell by 7.59%.
Institutional interest in cryptocurrencies continues to strengthen. Over the past week, spot ETFs on bitcoin attracted about $1.92 billion, on Ethereum — $697.18 million, on XRP — $39.78 million, on Solana — $28.34 million. A slight outflow was recorded only for BNB products — around $262,000. The overall liquidation picture over the day: 72,982 traders, a total volume of $300.38 million, with short positions accounting for $167.16 million, indicating pressure on short sellers.
Stablecoins and security: key overnight events
Of particular note is the news about the stablecoin neobank Fasset, which raised $68 million in a funding round led by Japan's SBI Group. The company's valuation reached $1 billion. Since the start of the year, Fasset has raised a total of $119 million, and the annual volume of processed transactions exceeds $40 billion across 125 countries, while revenue has grown sixfold.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, in turn, noted that USDT is being increasingly used in developing economies — from Venezuela and Argentina to Bolivia and Turkey. According to him, the stablecoin has become not only a tool for trading but also a digital dollar for savings and a hedge against inflation.
In the security sphere — an important update from Ledger. The company's CTO Charles Guillemet confirmed that the vulnerability in Ethereum app signing scenarios was fixed two weeks ago. The issue was discovered by the Ledger Donjon division, and users with up-to-date firmware and apps are fully protected.
My view: Confident inflows into ETFs and the growth of stablecoins in the real sector are two signals that point to a structural strengthening of the market. However, such sharp weekly dynamics for BTC and ETH often precede a correction, so traders should remain cautious and partially take profits.
