The tokenized stock market: Securitize and Ondo surpass Robinhood by 40 times — a new order in blockchain finance

The total market capitalization of tokenized stocks on the blockchain has exceeded the $3.7 billion mark. This is no longer just an experimental niche — we are looking at a full-fledged, institutional market where the main roles are played not by retail applications, but by specialized platforms for real-world assets. The leaders in market capitalization are Securitize and Ondo, which account for approximately 60% of the total market value.

For comparison: the popular app Robinhood, which many are accustomed to considering the flagship of tokenization, ranks only tenth with a figure of $31 million. The gap between the leaders and the rest of the participants is enormous — Securitize ($1.274 billion) and Ondo ($966 million) are more than 40 times ahead of Robinhood. They are followed by xStock ($576 million), bStock ($376 million), Figure ($210 million), and others.

What is being traded most actively?

An analysis of daily trading volumes revealed a clear trend: investors are betting on the technology sector and semiconductors. The leader in daily volume is tokenized shares of SpaceX ($31.7 million). They are followed by SanDisk ($25.5 million), SK Hynix ($15.2 million), NVIDIA ($14.7 million), and Alphabet ($11.6 million).

Notably, SpaceX tops the list — a company whose shares are unavailable to most retail investors on the traditional market. Tokenization opens access to such "closed" assets, which generates increased demand.

This market has ceased to be a theory. In 2026, we are observing a functioning ecosystem with real money, a transparent structure, and clear signals about what investors actually want to own.

My expert assessment: The dominance of Securitize and Ondo is not a coincidence, but a natural outcome of market evolution. Institutional investors choose platforms that are initially tailored for compliance and work with real-world assets, rather than for retail trading. Robinhood here is more of an exception that proves the rule: retail applications will not be able to compete in a segment where trust and legal clarity are paramount. Tokenized SpaceX shares as a volume leader is a vivid marker that the market is seeking access to unique, previously unavailable opportunities.
