Artificial intelligence in the crypto industry: an accelerator, not a replacement for humans

In the crypto industry, artificial intelligence has not yet become an independent player. Even code writing and monitoring exchange APIs remain under strict human control. AI is a powerful accelerator, but not a replacement for an experienced specialist.

In my practice, I see that the main application of AI in crypto companies today boils down to two key areas: content marketing and accelerating development. In marketing, neural networks handle news aggregation, expert opinion analysis, post generation, and even video creation. In development, they monitor API changes and write code.

However, it is important to understand: without human oversight, these processes lose quality. As market practitioners note, AI agents are used for acceleration, but every step they take is checked by developers and analysts. This is not a matter of distrust—it is a matter of security and responsibility.

Toolkit: From Claude to Grok

The set of tools is selected through trial and error. In development, VS Code with Codex and Claude Code are actively used. For video generation, Kling and Eleven Labs are employed, which, in my observation, offer the best price-to-quality ratio. For landing pages, Lovable is used. The choice is always based on practical testing.

Particular attention should be paid to the approach to market analysis. For example, the morning ritual of many professionals includes loading sentiment data, overnight news, BTC and ETH prices, as well as the fear and greed index into Claude. The model outputs a direction—long or short—with reasoning. But blind following is unacceptable: a signal is considered strong only when it aligns with one's own analysis. A discrepancy is a reason for deep verification.

Boundaries of Trust and Risks

Serious AI errors that would have cost companies dearly have not yet occurred. The reason lies in the human partnership. AI remains an automation tool, while control stays with the specialist.

As for trusting AI agents with real trades, it all comes down to risk management. Each trader determines the amount they are willing to lose, and that amount sets the boundaries for delegating control to the agent.

In practice, many use multiple AI tools, distributing tasks on the principle of "each covers its own area." ChatGPT in combination with CoinGlass processes data on open interest, liquidations, and the long/short ratio in 30 seconds instead of an hour of manual work. Grok on X monitors crypto Twitter in real time, providing a head start of a couple of hours for news assessment. Claude handles the strategic direction for the day. The result: analysis takes not a couple of hours, but 15 minutes.

My conclusion as an analyst: AI in crypto is a powerful catalyst for efficiency, but not a replacement for human experience. Those who try to fully automate trading or development without human oversight risk not acceleration, but losses. The key to success lies in a well-balanced symbiosis, where humans set the strategy and AI handles the routine.
