Around a thousand company executives are already delegating tasks to Sber's "GigaAgent" AI agent — from data analytics to application development. This signals a shift in the corporate segment from experimenting with generative AI to full-scale operation of agentic systems.
Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President and Head of Sberbank's Technology Development Block, revealed usage statistics for "GigaAgent" at the V conference on digital business transformation, SberPro Tech 2026. According to his observations, the integration of the AI agent is changing the operating models of companies whose top managers have begun applying the tool in practice.
Leaders' personal experience as a driver of adoption
Belevtsev emphasizes that personal experience with artificial intelligence is becoming one of the key conditions for successful technology adoption in business. "When a leader starts using these products themselves, their view of what can actually be done changes completely. They start thinking about how their entire business will change," the top manager noted.
The AI assistant takes on complex and time-consuming tasks: analyzing information, working with corporate systems, and developing applications. In addition to "GigaAgent," the lineup of generative AI-based solutions includes GigaCowork and GigaCode — thanks to shared skills and plugins, these tools work together on personal assignments, group projects, and the creation of IT solutions.
The 2028 horizon: agents in every application
Agentic technologies need to be adopted now: the digital transformation of large organizations takes several years. According to a Gartner forecast, by 2028 AI agents will fully make at least 15% of everyday work decisions, and up to 33% of corporate applications will have built-in functions of such agents.
For Sber's shareholders, demand for corporate AI products means growth of the business beyond classic banking. For company employees, agents will help eliminate routine work, but over time some everyday decisions will shift from people to algorithms.
What Sber's AI course means for retail investors
The bank is embedding artificial intelligence not only into corporate but also into mass-market products: in the "SberInvestments" app, a service based on "GigaChat" explains why the portfolio value has changed and links the movement of securities to news. This affects a broad audience: the number of clients with brokerage accounts in the service has grown by 16% since the start of 2026, to 10 million.
For holders of the bank's own shares, the key date is November 12, when Sberbank will present its new dividend policy for 2027–2029. CFO Taras Skvortsov previously noted that the bank will try to maintain payouts at 50% of net profit, though much will depend on the evolution of regulation.
Cryptalist analysis: The GigaAgent case demonstrates that the Russian corporate segment is moving from pilot projects to industrial deployment of agentic systems, which increases competitive pressure on players without their own AI infrastructure. For investors, this is an argument in favor of revaluing technology ecosystems where AI services become an independent source of revenue beyond traditional banking. The sustainability of the trend will be determined not by the number of users, but by the measurable impact of agents on operational efficiency and margins.
