The overnight session on October 27 was marked by institutional shifts: while Bitcoin drifted in a narrow corridor, the US regulatory landscape continued to realign in favor of the crypto industry. Below are the key events of the morning and their market backdrop.

Market Cap Leaders: Sideways Trading Without Enthusiasm

Bitcoin (BTC) started the day with sideways movement. As of 07:35 (Moscow time), the asset is trading at $79,665 (≈ ₽6,412,308 per token). The daily low is $79,366, the high is $80,710. Such a compressed range indicates a balance of power between buyers and sellers and a lack of triggers for a directional impulse.

Ethereum started the day with gains: the coin is trading at $2,310 (≈ ₽185,934).

In the top 10, the best daily result (+2.72%) belongs to Hyperliquid, and the best weekly result (+6.59%) to Zcash. The largest losses over 24 hours were recorded by Solana (-0.71%), and over the week also by Solana (-4.95%).

In the top 100, the daily leader is Midnight (+8.78%), and the weekly leader is MemeCore (+25.34%). The asset that lost the most over the past 24 hours was LayerZero (-4.97%), and the worst weekly result belongs to Worldcoin (-20.43%).

Liquidations: The Market Frozen in Equilibrium

Over the past 24 hours, positions of 66,215 traders were liquidated for a total of $142.84 million. Liquidations were distributed almost evenly: $75.40 million in long positions versus $67.44 million in short positions — a direct consequence of the narrow range. The largest single liquidation order came on Hyperliquid for the BTC-USD pair at $1.85 million.

Crypto Company Stocks: A Rotation From Issuers to Miners

Among public companies, the sharpest declines were in Circle (CRCL) shares — down 7.07%, BitMine Immersion (BMNR) — down 6.47%, and Strategy (MSTR) — down 4.24%. GameStop (GME) fell 3.71%, Coinbase (COIN) 2.95%, and Robinhood (HOOD) 2.35%. At the same time, miner stocks rose: TeraWulf (WULF) — up 5.83%, Hut 8 (HUT) — up 2.84%, IREN (IREN) — up 2.11%.

Fear and Greed Index: Neutral

The indicator dropped to 48 points, remaining in the neutral zone. The day before it stood at 50, a week ago at 55 (greed zone), and a month ago at 70 (greed zone).

Top Morning News

Ripple received final OCC approval to establish a national trust bank in the US. The entity will be able to manage the reserves backing the RLUSD stablecoin and custody clients' digital assets. RLUSD itself will continue to be issued by a separate Ripple unit regulated in New York. A trust bank custodies and manages assets but does not take deposits or issue loans. Ripple became the second crypto company after Circle to receive final approval; Coinbase, Crypto.com, and Bridge are still at the preliminary consent stage.

The OCC urged small local banks to issue their own payment stablecoins, proposing that they apply for issuer status directly or through subsidiaries. The call came after the approval of rules for the GENIUS Act, which takes effect in January. The regulator's relationship with local banks is nonetheless uneasy: associations are criticizing the stablecoin yield rules, and the Independent Community Bankers Association is suing the OCC over licenses for crypto companies. A mass entry of banks into this market could crowd out crypto companies.

Hong Kong-based RedotPay, which offers stablecoin payments, is considering filing a confidential IPO application in the US before the end of 2026. In parallel, negotiations are underway for a pre-listing funding round with a possible valuation of $4–5 billion. The company has more than 8 million users. In August, there were reports of a delay to the exchange listing due to regulatory problems and a dispute with Binance: entities linked to the exchange are demanding almost $473 million from RedotPay's founders, accusing them of using confidential information. RedotPay rejects the accusations and denies that the IPO was delayed.

Cryptalist Analysis: The key signal of the morning is not price dynamics but institutional: the final approval of Ripple's trust bank and the invitation to US local banks to issue stablecoins are shaping a contour in which banking infrastructure is gradually being embedded into the crypto economy. For the market, this is a structurally positive factor, but it is being realized slowly and does not create an immediate impulse — hence the neutral Fear and Greed Index and balanced liquidations. In the short term, Cryptalist expects BTC to remain in sideways movement in the absence of macro triggers, while the medium-term upside shifts toward infrastructure and payments narratives.
