Ripple XRP is a digital currency created by Ripple Labs in 2012, intended for use in international financial transactions. Unlike many other cryptocurrencies, Ripple does not seek to replace the traditional financial system, but rather to integrate into it, providing fast, cheap and secure cross-border payments. Ripple's main feature is its consensus ledger, which requires no mining and allows transactions to be processed in seconds. XRP is also used for liquidity in currency exchanges and serves as a bridge between different fiat currencies.
