Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a cryptocurrency that emerged from the Bitcoin hard fork in August 2017 to improve scalability and reduce transaction costs. The main difference between Bitcoin Cash and the original Bitcoin (BTC) is the increased block size to 8 megabytes (later up to 32 megabytes), which allows more transactions to be processed per block and speeds up the confirmation of transactions. BCH aims to become a more convenient means of exchange and payments, while maintaining the core principles of decentralization and security characteristic of blockchain technologies.
